Co-editor Rob Wildey speaks to Norwich City and writer of norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com, Gary Gowers ahead of Blues’ trip to Carrow Road.

THE PRESSURE ON ALEX NEIL IS GROWING. BUT WHAT`S YOUR OPINION OF HIM AS A MANAGER?

Still learning would be a nice way of putting it. When he arrived he was a breath of fresh air and in his first five months he rejuvenated a talented but directionless squad sufficiently to take us back to the Premier League. But since then it’s been fairly bleak and two years on from his arrival we’re weaker and in a lower league position than when he took over. Draw your own conclusions from that.

WHAT WOULD REPRESENT A GOOD SEASON FOR NORWICH CITY?

Promotion, either automatically (out of the question) or via the playoffs again (unlikely). Anything less will be seen as underachievement.

IF NEIL FAILS TO LEAD NORWICH INTO THE PLAY-OFFS, IS HIS JOB ON THE LINE?

Oh yes. Next question.

NORWICH SUFFERED A 3-0 DEFEAT AT BIRMINGHAM CITY BACK IN AUGUST. ARE YOU EXPECTING REVENGE THIS TIME ROUND?

Revenge is a strong word. So too expecting. *Hoping* is a better description.

In truth the home form has been pretty decent of late and if we can hit the levels we displayed against Derby and Wolves then I’d expect us to win. But it’s consistency that’s been the problem and the split between playing well and stinking the place out is 50/50.

IF YOU HAD TO SIGN ONE BIRMINGHAM PLAYER FOR THE NORWICH SQUAD, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

Confession time – I don’t know as much about your squad as I should but it almost goes without saying that Clayton Donaldson, if he plays, will give our centre-backs a rough ride. On that basis he’d offer us a physical presence up top that we don’t always have. Other than him… does Trevor Francis still play? 😉

WHAT IS YOUR PREDICTION FOR THE GAME?

City 2 Brum 1 possibly… maybe… hopefully… haven’t a clue really
