Steve Bruce has confirmed that the club is considering an offer for Uruguayan striker Walter Pandiani.

Blues have received a number of enquiries for the 29-year-old, including one firm offer from Spanish side Real Mallorca and it is thought Espanyol will also make a bid within the next week.

‘We’ve had two or three enquiries, but with Walter not being in the team there is always going to be speculation,’ said Bruce.

‘We’ve received an offer from Real Mallorca and it’s one we’re looking at but there’s going to be no decision made just yet.

Bruce claimed that the bid was more than £800,000.

‘The one thing that you don’t want to do is to lose players,’ said the Blues boss.

‘But I’m also mindful of the fact that I might need to generate a bit of cash myself and do a bit of wheeling and dealing, so we’ll look at every situation and possibility.’

Bruce has yet to confirm any approach for MK Dons striker Izzy Mcleod, who is thought to be being brought in to replace Pandiani.
