Birmingham City look set to miss out on Eupen forward Henry Onyekuru with the Nigerian set for a move to the Premier League with Everton.

Blues were keen on bringing the talented 20-year-old to St. Andrew’s in what would’ve been a record signing for the club.

But with plenty of interest from the Premier League, it was always going to be tough for Blues to strike a deal.

Arsenal, West Ham and Newcastle all showed an interest but the joint top scorer last season in Belgium has opted for a move to Mersyside.

Onyekuru will be loaned back to Belgium next season where he will play with current champions Anderlecht.

  • So we move on and talk about the players after we sign them. I doubt any of the rumors are even close to knowing who we are looking at. If we wanted him surely we would have put a bid in??

  • Henry Onyekuru I’m self as said no dial as been agreed he is still deciding on his future. But he may well go to Everton IMO.
