Paul Devlin

A firm fan favourite for his approach to the game, Devlin spent two spells with Birmingham. The Birmingham born Scot made over 70 appearances 1996-98 before moving on to Sheffield United. After an initial loan period in 2002 Devlin returned to Birmingham permanently to play a further 47 Premier League games before being sold to Watford.

In 1996/7 Devlin started the season scoring in all three opening fixtures of the Football League Division 1, he was also dismissed twice that season against Bolton and Wrexham. Blues beat Bolton 3-1 and lost to Wrexham 3-1.

His last game for Birmingham was a 0-0 draw with the Saints in 2003 and the last time he scored was away at Tottenham the season before. A man who knows the club well and remembers his time with us fondly.

Geoff Horsfield

Horsfield played for Birmingham for 3 years after joining from Fulham in 2000. He made 108 appearances and scored 23 times. He is Birmingham`s most successful Premier League player as we covered some time ago Blues enjoyed the most points when he played.

His first goal for the club game 5 games into his term, scoring the equaliser away at West Brom. Horsfield went on to score 12 that season. As Blues gained promotion the next season Horsfield scored a further 12 goals, including the all important goal against Norwich in the Play-off final.

Horsfield`s last season with the club was its maiden season in the Premier League, including a partnership with Christophe Dugarry. In the big Birmingham Derby Horsfield scored in a 3-0 home win over Aston Villa. In the return away fixture he did it again in a 2-0 win that fans had dreamt about for many years, he cemented himself into royal blue history.

Just three games into the 03/04 season Geoff was sold to Wigan, his last appearance at St Andrews was a 1-0 win over Spurs.

Michael Johnson

A devoted servant to the club, Johnson made 262 appearances for Birmingham between 1995 and 2003. A regular Jamaica international, Johnson still follows Birmingham, that includes all the way to Wembley in 2011 as I managed to get a photo with the man himself (I obviously have good taste in seat choice).

Johnson was a regular in the Birmingham defence for many years and is of course one of the loved ones that got Birmingham promoted through the play-offs.

He has also scored in a derby game, Michael scored the winner against West Brom in 1998.
