Even the most optimistic Blues fans can worry

Just two days to go…is anyone else as nervous as I am? Surely I can’t be the only one dreading what the scoreline might be when the final whistle blows just before 2pm on Sunday afternoon.

As the title of the article says, even the most optimistic Blues fans can worry, and I think I am right in saying that the majority of us are looking forward to the game but deep down there is a little bit of fear that we might get our backsides spanked by Aston Villa.

Although I really don’t want to admit it, I think we are in for a very tough game on Sunday, even tougher than some of the games we have already faced this season.

Granted, form sort of goes out of the window for a game like this but with Steve Bruce bringing his side to St.Andrews on the back of back-to-back wins for the first time since 2014, Gary Rowett surely has to have that in the back of his mind.

I don’t mind admitting that I am one of the most optimistic of all Blues fans (I’m sure there are plenty of us), but even I have that worried feeling in the pit of my stomach that something could go horribly wrong when they visit.

When I take my seat on Sunday lunchtime, I will be expecting the Blues players to give it their all and leave nothing on the pitch but it is fair to say that if we come away losers on the day, it will be difficult to stomach.

Optimistic as you might be guys and girls, tell us how you’re feeling about the game in the comment section down below!
