Elliott Signed By Bristol City

Bristol City have completed the signing of Birmingham midfielder Wade Elliott.

The 35 year old joins up officially with the Robins when his contract with Blues ends on July 1.

Last season Elliott went to Ashton Gate on loan and played a big part in keeping the club from dropping into the basement league, he impressed manager Steve Cotterill enough that he had to offer him a one year deal.

Cotterill told bcfc.co.uk: “I`ve known Wade a long time. He`s got so much experience and was invaluable to us last season. We looked a far better unit when he came into the midfield.

“He`s so calm under pressure and helps the team get the ball from defence to attack. Add that to the fact that he`s a fantastic lad and player, I feel he`s a great addition to the squad.’
