Vital Burnley have revealed that they have been looking at Koby Arthur whilst out on loan at Cheltenham.

Apparently Burnley football club have had the young man watched twice and may be looking into acquiring him in the next transfer window.

Any deal would mean Birmingham are due compensation because of the young age of the player. However that is not why I think the deal is a dead one.

Birmingham City are well aware of their assets at the moment and are unlikely to sell. Selling upsets the fans, in a season where they are desperately trying to repair the damage done from last season. Fans paid their money to see loanees not earn it. Selling the clubs own talent when that is what the fans want to see is a PR nightmare.

Again on that point, the club have sold its young players before and now can`t afford to. The fans are not only unlikely to accept future sales of our youngsters quietly but the club no longer need to raise funds for operations and the fans now know this. Only leading to bids being rejected for any of the young talent.

The move could go through should the player wish to leave and ask to leave, as Tom Adeyemi did. As comment on the possibility of that would just be me speculating and I don`t like to do that.

Arthur is currently on youth loan at Cheltenham Town and is proving to be very successful. Indeed their manager is believed to have asked to keep him for a further period, Blues haven`t decided yet.
