Birmingham City have announced that influential duo Clayton Donaldson and Jacques Maghoma have both been called up to represent their countries for World Cup and African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Donaldson, who got injured the last time he played for the Reggae Boyz, looks set to earn what could be his third and fourth cap for his country.

Jamaica host Costa Rica in a double header with the first of the two fixtures being played on Saturday the 26th of March and the second match being played just four days later.

Maghoma could be about to earn his seventh and eighth cap for the Democratic Republic of the Congo as they face Angola in a similar situation to how Jamaica are playing their games.

The former Sheffield Wednesday winger was first capped by his country in 2010 and he has since gone on to make a further five appearances for them, two of them coming while he was at Blues back in November.

Blues boss Gary Rowett will be hoping that the repair to his squad unharmed, especially after the events of Donaldson’s last call up when it was claimed that Jamaica didn’t look after his health properly which subsequently lead to him being out for five weeks.
