Gary Rowett is keeping a close eye on Charlton Athletic defender Morgan Fox, according to reports.

Several media sources, including the Birmingham Mail, have linked Fox with a move to St. Andrew`s this summer following the Addicks` relegation to League One.

Charlton`s well documented financial issues could result in the loss of their key assets, one being 22 year-old left back Fox.

Fox, who was touted for a move to Manchester United after the injury of Luke Shaw last term, can also play as a left sided centre back.

Rowett is looking to strengthen his defence ahead of next season and signing a left back would more than likely put an end to Mitch Hancox`s time at Blues. The 22 year-old Brummie, a product of Blues` youth academy, has struggled to break into the team since the arrival of Rowett in November 2014.

Rowett is also considering a move for Robert Tesche. The Nottingham Forest midfielder played 12 games for Blues on loan last season and was a hit with the fans. He is out of contract in the summer.
