Birmingham keeper Colin Doyle has gone to league one side Plymouth on a week`s trial.

The 25-year-old played 45 minutes of Wednesday night’s 1-0 friendly win at Edgar Street against Hereford United.

Doyle made 19 league appearances for Blues during the 2006-2007 campaign and was tipped to go onto bigger things, but since then the keeper has slipped down the pecking order.

And with Ben Foster and Maik Taylor at the club, there is little chance of him making a breakthrough.
