Roger Johnson picked up two charges of misconduct following the defeat to Aston Villa last month.

Johnson lost his rag after the referee gave Villa an undeserved penalty after the player had made a perfectly fair tackle on Gabriel Agbonlahor.

James Milner converted the spot-kick and the home side went on to win.

Blues released a statement that read: ‘The FA have charged Johnson relating to media comments made after our fixture against Aston Villa at Villa Park.

‘Johnson has been charged on two counts, relating to his comments about the match referee and for his comments about the FA Respect programme.’
