Don’t Rave about my Wave!

Steve Bruce has apologised to Bluenoses after he was seen waving to Manchester United fans during the teams’ Carling Cup game.

Some Blues fans booed former United defender Bruce after he acknowledged cheers from the away supporters.

‘As soon as I put my hand up I thought ‘I shouldn’t have done that,” he said.

‘If people want to hang me for this, that’s up to them. But my commitment to Birmingham cannot be questioned.’

‘If our supporters were offended, then I apologise. It was not a slight on them or our club,’ he said.

‘Birmingham mean as much to me, if not more, than United. Remember, if you include my time as a player, I’ve spent six years here.’
