Promoted at the end of last season, Doncaster Rovers are the visitors to St Andrews this weekend and for Blues, Cameron Jerome is fit again.

Jerome will provide a further option for manager Alex McLeish, he came back into action in the reserves in midweek when he scored twice in a 3-3 draw with Manchester United.

Colin Doyle will be missing as he recovers from minor knee surgery, meaning Artur Krysiak is likely to return from a loan spell with York City to cover for Maik Taylor.

Winger Sebastian Larsson completed 90 minutes in Sweden’s 2-1 win over Hungary and so he returns to the side hoping to carry on where he left off when he grabbed a goal against Norwich City.

Damien Johnson will not be seen for around eight weeks after having an operation on his back.

There have been no recent meetings between the two clubs, the last time Doncaster came to Birmingham was in September 1962 when Blues beat them 5-0 in the second round of the League Cup.

As for Doncaster, boss Sean O’Driscoll must decide whether to give attacking duo Jason Price and Darren Byfield a start. Price hit a hat trick in a midweek friendly game against Darlington while Byfield impressed on his debut last time out.

Defenders Sean McDaid (knee) and Gordon Greer (hip) won`t be available for this game.
