Do Blues lack team spirit?

I listened with interest to part of tonight’s phone in on BBC WM. A Blues fan phoned in to voice her digest at the Wolves players reaction to Jack Storer’s sending off.

Former West Brom player Richard Sneekes, the guest on WM, stated that Wolves players sticking up for each other displayed a togetherness created by new manager Walter Zenga.

Then he followed up with a comment about Blues’ lack of togetherness. This was apparently because, while Wolves players surrounded the incident, only Clayton Donaldson was in the mix defending the young striker, Storer.

Is this due to a lack of team spirit and togetherness, or an attempt at remaining professional?

Blues have had some difficult times in recent seasons and wouldn’t have come out the other side without a team bound together by friendship and trust. It’d be disheartening to learn that is no longer the case.

Blues certainly don’t seem like a team that are pulling in different directions, and Gary Rowett seems to be on the same page as his players.

Hopefully, Sneekes’ comments can be put down to pure speculation.
