Four different goal scorers enjoyed their trip to St Andrews as Derby saw off Birmingham 4-0 in the Championship.

Derby had the better of the game from start to finish as they used their pace to hand Gary Rowett his second defeat as home boss.

The deadlock was broken early as Jordan Ibe, who had a short loan spell with Birmingham, scored from close range past keeper Darren Randolph.

Martin’s 22nd minute strike from a freekick was his 16th of the season and it doubled the vistor’s lead, putting them out of sight for the first half.

The playing conditions were not ideal in the second half as Derby hit Birmingham twice late on to secure the away win and keep them in the chase for promotion.

Forsyth scored in the 78th minute to make it three, before Russel made it four just before the end of time.

Derby very much needed to win this game in a bid to stem the tide of less that impressive results for the Rams. Birmingham were never expected to worry the Championship high flyers but will be disappointed by the scoreline in the end.

Birmingham travel to Nottingham Forest this Sunday, live on Sky.
