Birmingham City have today been linked with a move for out of favour Derby County defender Ryan Shotton.

Teamtalk.com are suggesting that a move for Shotton could happen over the weekend and he could be a Birmingham City player before Monday 1st February.

The former Stoke City man has only made seven appearances this season since the arrival of new boss Paul Clement, one of which was in the 1-1 draw back in August against the Blues.

Signing for the Rams last January, Shotton went on to progress well in the Derby team in the 2014/2015 season scoring two goals in 27 games but has fallen down the pecking order this season.

It is believed that Blues boss Gary Rowett is an admirer of the 27 year old defender, who can play anywhere across the back four, and he could make a move for him before the transfer window closes on Monday.
