On Monday afternoon, Vital Birmingham brought you the news that an unnamed side had come in for Blues striker James Vaughan and after some thinking, I believe that a move away from the club could work out well for both parties.

Although Vaughan hasn’t found his feet at Blues, scoring just once in all of his appearances for Blues (a 4-0 preseason win against Kidderminster Harriers), there has never been a lack of effort from the former Everton man, but maybe it is time for him to move on.

I’ll admit it, I quite like Vaughan as a footballer, he has the ability to break through defences, but when you have so many chances but don’t score the goals that you and your club deserve then maybe it is time to cut your losses and move to pastures new.

As much as I would like to know who this unnamed side is, presumably from a lower division, I can’t work out who would want to bring in a player who just can’t score goals for love nor money.

If a move does materialise for Vaughan, I think it would work out best for everyone involved because lets be honest, his chances in the first team are becoming more and more limited with the talent that the club has at the moment.

With the likes of Clayton Donaldson, 18-year-old Jack Storer and new £2 million signing Che Adams all ahead of Vaughan, you would think that the striker would want to get a many minutes under his belt as possible and at this moment in time, it certainly won’t be at Birmingham City.

Blues fans, do you think it would work out best for both parties is James Vaughan moved on? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
