Kristian Pedersen made his debut against Norwich, and I think it’s fair to say that he split opinion. It was his first match so it is way too early to judge but from first impressions, he’s going to have to work on his positional play.
He got caught out one or two times, and although he showed some assured touches on the ball, and is definitely able to cope with the physical nature of the Championship, he will need to improve.
Fans on Twitter were pretty much of the same mind as me. While some felt he had an assured game, others though he will need to improve defensively:
Defensively suspect

A little, yes. First game in a new, faster paced, more physical league though. It’ll come with play time.

Got caught out a couple times though in defence.

Very promising, position off the ball needs lots of work but a certain upgrade on what we had before, would like to have seen his forward play a bit more, left Mags on his own going forward but it’ll come I think.

Can’t judge him on one game.

Got caught out a few times early on but was excellent second half. Great delivery with the left ????????

Did ok but needs to be more alert hopefully that will come as he gets used to the championship but decent debut

Some felt he grew into the game:
Nervy at times but grew into the game

To be fair he was out of position for the first goal, but he’ll settle in ok now he knows what it’s all about

Definitely got stronger and shepherded the ball out of play a few times by being strong. I think the Championship takes people by surprise with its pace and strength but he will get better and better.

For his first competitive game in English football, there was is no need to be too harsh. He did get better as the game wore on, for the most part, so let’s see how he does against Middlesbrough.
Tony Pulis’ side will provide a tough defensive test, and it will be interesting to find out how the Dane copes.
