Defender Won’t Make Brentford Game

Birmingham City are waiting for the day they can welcome their star defender back into the team, but they will have to wait a while longer as he could still be two weeks away.

Morrison rolled his ankle in a 0-0 draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday. Until that point, Birmingham had lost just 3 games with him in the side, and 1 of those was against West Brom in the cup.

It is understandable that the fans are desperate for him to be fit and back again, Blues have been leaking goals lately and Morrison is seen as a way of getting back on track at the back.

Although, I think it is unfair to lay blame for the defensive issues at Spector’s door due to the recent midfield miss of David Davis and the reshuffle into a 4-4-2; which in my opinion was a mistake to do that away from home.

I still remain in the champ of ‘bring back Morro’. He’s a solid performer and more importantly than that he is a leader that can inject confidence into the team.

There has been a lot of individual errors leading to goals lately and that to me is a lack of confidence in the players; something that Rowett has touched on when talking to the press.

So with Morrison a few weeks away, it would seem likely that Spector will remain at centre back with Robinson for at least a few more games.
