A deal to bring Alex Song to Birmingham City may well be back on.

It was thought that a deal was all but dead after concerns about the 29-year-old’s fitness.

The transfer window has now closed but, as Harry Redknapp was leaving Wast Hills for the day, he told a group of Blues fans: ‘He’s come on loan, we’ve taken him on loan’.

Blues haven’t confirmed the deal but there may just be some light at the end of the tunnel for this one.

Stay tuned.

  • This article has proven to be wrong as we all are now aware that the deal for Song could not be completed as both clubs could not meet on his price tag.It would have been more good news if we could have got him in until January however it has not happened. If we are doing well by Christmas this could be a transfer the manager might go for then.A lot can and will happen between now and January, now we have a decent team,we have a week off to work with the players and Norwich away will be a tough test however not one to be feared.
