Birmingham City have today confirmed that midfielder Robert Tesche has joined German side VfL Bocham on a season-long loan.

With Blues manager Harry Redknapp in full on recruitment mode for a dynamic midfielder, the chances of Tesche getting any game time this season was very unlikely.

As deals for Brentford midfielder Jota and former Barcelona man Alex Song look set to be announced, Tesche has departed the club for the remained of the season.

All the best Robert.

  • Robert Tesche has been at best average since his permanent signing for us,somehow he never really lived up to his loan spell and this is an outwards move that I was expecting, with the players we now have he would find first team game time extremely difficult.Ideally selling him on would have been better however it’s best for all concerned that he has gone for now,no point in keeping him around,he would be unsettled, frustrated and hardly lift the mood around the group of first team players.
    Good luck Tesche.
