According to reports, Curtis Davies could be back in action for Blues this weekend.

And fellow defender Paul Caddis is also nearing full fitness, in both cases manager Lee Clark can only be onto a winner.

Blues have suffered more than their fair share of troubles in the defence so far this season with David Murphy also ruled out while he recovers from knee surgery along with Stephen Carr who has also been absent because of a knee operation.

Now Clark will be hoping for a stronger squad for the trip to Derby on Saturday.

“Curtis has a good chance this weekend,” he told the Birmingham Mail

“He is due to resume training on Thursday and as long as there is no reaction, then he could be available.”
