David Davis likely to miss Brentford trip

David Davis is ‘unlikely’ to be fit for tomorrow’s trip to Brentford. The midfielder picked up a knock during the derby defeat at Aston Villa earlier this month and missed Saturday’s defeat against Millwall.

To add to Steve Cotterill’s woes, Maikel Kieftenbeld will start a two match suspension after picking up his tenth booking at the weekend.

Cheikh Ndoye, who has served a one match ban after a sending off at Villa, will be the likely beneficiary along with Jason Lowe.

The only other option for Cotterill in the middle of the park is Jota. The Spaniard had a lot of success in the number ten role during his time at Brentford.

Davis will be assessed as late as possible before Cotterill makes a decision.
