Birmingham will face Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup third round at St Andrews. The game is scheduled for Tuesday 14 January, 19:45 K.O.

About Time

Bristol overcame Crawley with a last minute goal to win the tie 2-1. The fixture was the second time it had been rearranged.

Both teams now have the promise of meeting Premier League outfit Swansea City in the next round of the tie. Swansea saw off the not so mighty Manchester Unity with a Bony header. This game is set for the weekend beginning January 25.

Calm and Confident

Bristol Rovers Boss John Ward says the wins for them in the cup so far has given them a new found belief and they will travel to inform Birmingham with no fear.

He actually described the tie as a ‘treat`. He and his team, are coming to St Andrews to enjoy themselves.

This could be good news for Blues, with Bristol coming to play some football it is an opportunity for us to out play them, as opposed to trying to constantly break the opposition down.

I don`t like to speculate on cup games, but I guess just this once I can push for a Birmingham win.
