Whilst there’s not been a lot of incomings at St Andrew’s this summer, the club could be set to announce a fantastic signing.
Having bounced around the U.K for the most part of his career, it looks as if Lukas Jutkiewicz could be on the verge of settling down for the next year or so, as the club is in discussions with him over a new contract, according to Football Insider.
Jutkiewicz was a huge part of Birmingham City’s surprise campaign against the drop last year, although I don’t think that was the intention at the start of the season. His 14 goals and 10 assists ensured that the Blues stayed up with two games to go.
So when news came out that the club were in the process of organising a new deal for the 30-year-old, Blues fans couldn’t contain their excitement. They rushed to Twitter to express their joy at the news.

Although there was one fan who took the opportunity to lambast the club for not giving him anyone to play upfront with. And given the state of the team as it stands, he may very well have a point.
