It is no secret Birmingham’s wing play is being pretty effective this season for them. But it is Cotterill that comes out on top.
Birmingham City winger David Cotterill has created more chances than anyone else in the league. Cotterill has served up 27 goal scoring chances from the Blues wing.
Cotterill goes about his business with haste and supplies a very direct outlet for Birmingham. It clearly seems to be working given the high stats he is getting.
The Welshman has been a regular since joining in the summer and seems to link up well with Wes Thomas in particular during that time.
Some teams have struggled to deal with Birmingham’s direct play this season, which is a benefit to the wide play Clark seems to employ.
This news will fit in with the call from many sections of the fans that Birmingham need to begin to take their chances in order to get some valuable points on the board. Cotterill is evidently doing his part.
