David Cotterill has been named in Chris Coleman’s Wales squad for their upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers. Wales are to play Cyprus away on 3 September and Israel at the Cardiff City stadium on 6 September.

The Welsh winger has been a revelation since joining Birmingham City and has earned himself a regular spot in Coleman’s international plans. Having been a near ever-present under both Lee Clark and Gary Rowett, Cotterill has more than proven his talents at this level.

Cotterill will offer deadball expertise and quality ball delivery as we have seen previously. The winger also presents a deadly goal threat with the ability to produce something special when shooting.

The 27 year old signed for Birmingham in June 2014 and has since made 45 league appearances. Scoring 10 goals. He lists Doncaster; Barnsley; Swansea and Wigan and previous clubs.

Having been linked with other Championship clubs in the summer, Blues are hoping to hold onto him for many seasons to come.
