Birmingham City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Birmingham City in the two nil victory over Reading this last matchday at the Madejski Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side as manager of the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Cotterill was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘It`s now back-to-back victories for Cotterill`s Blues, after they saw off Reading 2-0 at the Madejski Stadium. The win additionally moved Birmingham off the foot of the table, following their home defeating of Leeds United last time out.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Cotterill for his recognition, but the most important thing about the game was of course the points.

Full Team:

Jordan Smith (Nottingham Forest), Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham), Daniel Ayala (Middlesbrough), Ethan Pinnock (Barnsley), Robert Snodgrass (Aston Villa), Matt Bloomfield (Wycombe Wanderers), Tom Naylor (Burton Albion), Tom Pett (Stevenage), Kane Hemmings (Mansfield Town), Tom Eaves (Gillingham), Robbie Willmott (Newport County).

Manager Steve Cotterill (Birmingham City).
