Bristol City manager Lee Johnson has this evening confirmed the arrival of Birmingham City winger David Cotterill.

With just a few hours left of the January transfer window to go, Cotterill has been allowed to leave the club on loan until the end of the season.

Blues boss Gianfranco Zola told the Welsh winger that he was free to leave the club yesterday afternoon leaving him with just 24 hours to find a new club.

The Robins have now stepped in to take the set-piece specialist on loan and with Blues slowly sinking down the table, Cotterill may well be glad to get away from the club.

Blues fans, are you happy that David Cotterill has left the club? Let us know in the comment section down below!

  • Any player leaving now must have very few regrets. Morrison,I would imagine will also go with Donaldson. We have returned to a club in chaos with regard footballing matters and we must sympathise with TTA who must be a little shell shocked. Panos must be reflecting on a dreadful start to the new year with decisions haunting him by the minute.
