Birmingham City have completed the signings of Arsenal pair Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall on season-long loan deals.

The duo will provide strong competition to the options Blues already have in the full-back positions, with Jenkinson adding Premier League quality.

The 25-year-old right-back is keen to get playing again after making just five appearances last season following injury.

He played 52 times in the Premier League for West Ham United over two separate loan spells in 2014/15 and 2015/16.

Despite not playing as much as he’d like since his initial rise, Jenkinson is vastly experienced with Champions League and international experience under his belt.

He has one England cap to his name after featuring in a 4-2 friendly defeat against Sweden in November 2012 and Blues have beaten-off Premier League interest to sign him.

Bramall, 21, is more of an unknown quantity having been signed by Arsenal in a stunning move from Hednesford Town in January.

Arsenal are keen for the left-back to continue his development with first team Championship football where Blues are likely to see what Arsene Wenger spotted in the youngster that prompted the Frenchman to sign him.

Jenkinson has been given the number 22 and Bramall will wear 15. Both have been registered in time for tomorrow’s League Cup fixture with Bournemouth.
