Birmingham City secured a crucial three points at the weekend after sweeping aside Preston in a result that means their impressive run of form now stands at six victories in their last nine Championship fixtures.
Garry Monk’s side endured a blip during November after going three matches without a win, a sequence of results that included the 4-2 defeat to arch-rivals Aston Villa, but the response over the course of the last few weeks has been superb.
After the fine performance against Preston, four Birmingham players were named in Whoscored’s Team of the Week after their impressive displays – with Lee Camp, Michael Morrison, Maikel Kieftenbeld and Kristian Pedersen all earning recognition.
The line-up was dominated by Birmingham, with Blackburn being the only other side to have more than one player in the team, and fans on social media responded in delight after the fine performance from the aforementioned quartet.
