Lee Clark has revealed he is interested in signing free agent Dariusz Dudka, a Polish international.
Dudka is 29 and left Lavente at the end of last season.
The player was with the development side, he can play defending centre mid or at centre half.
Clark believes he could have been in the Poland squad had he been with a club and match fit.
The authorisation to sign him is yet to come back from Hong Kong.
Dudka spent four years at Auxerre before moving to Spain, and left Lavente after becoming injured before they found a replacement for him, leaving him set for the door.
