Birmingham boss Lee Clark was pleased with the three points his side picked up by beating Peterborough 2-0 at London Road on Saturday.

The win boosted Birmingham who now look to be clear of the threat of relegation while Peterborough on the other hand are now back at the bottom of the league and looking like they could be heading for League One.

Nikola Zigic was back in goal scoring form once again and he grabbed the first while Chris Burke was on hand to score the second making sure of the victory.

Clark said to reporters: ‘You have to be delighted to win 2-0 on the road and that’s certainly how I feel right now.

‘A second successive clean sheet was particularly pleasing as solid defending is always the basis for success in football.

‘We came here with a game plan and executed it very well. We had some outstanding performers, not least Chris Burke who has been back to his fine form of last season in recent games.’
