Birmingham have been hit with injury again this week after losing striker Lee Novak for up to a month.

Novak is the only one on the treatment list though, Matt Green has been given another set back to delay his return to the first team. he hasn’t played since the beginning of last season.

Clark speaking on BirminghamMail.com “It has been a tough week, a horrible week, for injuries,”

“We have had a setback with Matt Green, he will be another couple of months.

“Not a setback from the cruciate knee injury. That`s really strong.

“He`s just getting problems in his patella tendon.

“He has had a jab in it, so he`s looking at two months.

“That will take him to the full 12 months out, that the surgeon recommended anyway.

“But it`s a tough a tough gig because the lad has been working ever so hard and he has been really looking forward to getting back on the training pitch with the lads.

“It is a blow for me as at the moment with Lee Novak and Denny Johnstone missing too you`re looking at out and out strikers.”

Birmingham are being left very light up front, which is why young Koby Arthur has been recalled, to the dismay of Cheltenham. Arthur will provide back up for the strikers as Brek Shea remains out wide.
