Lee Clark was pleased with another one of Birmingham’s victories away from home after his side beat Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.

Two goals from the ever improving Lee Novak grabbed two goals that cancelled out the opening strike from Keogh.

The win, their seventh away from home so far this season, lifted Blues up to 16th in the table and Clark was delighted with the three point haul.

He told reporters: ‘It was even more important when I see other results in the Championship,’ Clark said.

‘Other teams behind us have won. So it’s huge for us. We’re still really aware of what’s going on behind us. We’re not ignorant or arrogant to think that’s us done and dusted.’

Clark also found time to give praise to new boy Jordon Ibe who was a substitute who played a major part in the fight back alongside Nikola Zigic who also came on as a sub.

Clark added: ‘Not bad is he? Not bad. Power, pace. We’ve done unbelievable to get him; I’ve got to thank Brendan Rodgers. I’ve pestered him to get him. There were so many other clubs in for him.

‘So hopefully this reputation I’ve got where I can do not-too-bad things with these big clubs’ young players is helping us get the edge over some of my rivals, in terms of trying to help them on in their development. I’m so excited by him.’

Blues are now nine points clear of the drop zone with another away game coming up on Saturday when they travel to Ipswich Town.
