Birmingham City manager Lee Clark says that Blues are suffering due to the mistakes that they are making.

Three games have seen eight goals fly into the City net and Clark says the mistakes have got to stop if they are to start winning a few and clime up the table.

Speaking to BBC WM Clark said: ‘You do as much work as you can on
the training ground.

‘But if people are making individual errors like we’ve made this season, it’s costing us all the time.’

Clark was not happy seeing his side out of the competition that they managed to win a couple of seasons ago, and he is getting evermore concerned about the fact that the club are in 22nd place in the league.

True, it is early days yet, but the sides that have got off to a good start are very unlikely to let the advantage disappear in a hurry.

He added: ‘We’ve had it with goalkeepers, defenders and midfield players. We had to score four to win [at Coventry], four at Sheffield Wednesday and three at Watford.

‘It doesn’t matter how you good you are attacking, if you have to score that many goals to win football matches you’re making it very difficult for yourselves.’

On Saturday Blues face Peterborough United and Clark is looking to see a marked improvement.
