Chosen Challis

‘Young Blues centre-half Jack Challis has been called up to the Wales U17s squad for their forthcoming UEFA U17 Men’s Qualifier tournament fixtures.’ confirms the Birmingham City official website.

As a no nonsense centre back, Jack is often seen throwing his body on the line for his team.
At the Blues, he is a dedicated member of the squad and someone who can achieve great things, in my opinion.

‘Wales will play their counterparts from Russia (19 October), Belarus (21 October) and Montenegro (24 October).’

Physically demanding, the games will be, but Jack has always looked in immense physical condition for his age. So I think he will gain development rather than get burnt out.

However, it is unlikely that he will play every minute of every game.

‘Challis recently returned from a successful spell of international duty, where he captained Wales to victory in two friendly matches against Malta.’

He showed leadership and a great desire to win for his country. An attribute which he also shows for Birmingham City.
