Birmingham have been linked with Chelsea youngster Jeremie Boga. Reports suggest that he is to be loaned out. It is not surprising Chelsea have an abundance of talent.
Boga is a regular in Chelsea`s U21 side despite being just about to turn 17. Earlier this month he scored the equaliser in Chelsea`s U21 cup draw with Newcastle (1-1).
It is well worth noting Birmingham will not be the only club interested in such a player. Bolton and Charlton seem to be the names bounded around the media.
From what I can find there is plenty of endorsements for this young man. The Championship is a tough old mistress though and not all young prospects prosper in the mist of first team action.
What chance do we stand of getting him? Well many of the bigger clubs will favour Birmingham City as the destinations of their youngsters. Arsenal did for some time, West Ham sent us Morrison, Spurs sent us Townsend and Lingard has very much carried on the tradition.
On top of that reputation, Birmingham have little resources, it is evident that any loan player will have a role to play and that is something parent clubs love.
Will he benefit the club? yes, its a simple fact we need a bigger squad. Yes we are on a good run at the moment but the second half of the season dawns and so will tired legs.
