Our days of barely being able to watch the Football League highlights are soon to be over. That’s right, Channel 5 have won the rights and are going to give it a prime time slot.
The show will be on from 9 pm and will feature the whole of the Football League. As apposed to currently where the highlights are shown very late at night, significantly limiting the audience for the league.
The move is fantastic news, provided that Blues maintain their current form and remain in the Championship. I’m not going to be stupid and mention the promotion word, oh wait there it goes!
I for one do miss the highlights a lot because it is on so late and I much prefer Sky’s coverage over the BBC. With that said I know and understand that lots of people do not have sky and they have a right to see their team on at a damn decent time.
So from next season, and for the next three seasons we have ‘almost; guaranteed reasonable viewing of the leagues and of course Rowett’s revolution.
