Steve Cotterill will wait until tomorrow before making decision on his team selection for the FA Cup fourth round replay against Huddersfield at St. Andrews on Tuesday night.

Its likely that Blues boss will make changes, some enforced, as his side battle for the right to play Manchester United in the fifth round.

Jonathan Grounds will be out after being stretchered off during yesterday’s 3-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday. Cotterill has Cohen Bramall as an option at left back or left wing back with Carl Jenkinson likely to slot in on the right.

Jacques Maghoma should be available after missing the trip to Hillsborough through injury but may not be risked ahead of the second city derby at Villa Park next Sunday.

Maikel Kieftenbeld is one booking away from a two match suspension so will probably miss out.

Cotterill’s biggest decision is whether to opt for in-form Sam Gallagher, Lukas Jutkiewicz or Che Adams up front.

  • Momentum in the league must be the priority”.To beat Huddersfield will deny us being at home to Millwall. However,we obviously must try and progress in the cup,but for me,defeat against Huddersfield could have a silver lining.

  • Yes your right Rob.Just that I want to keep this league run going and Millwall is a winnable game in the current mood we are in.

  • The cup is second to the league and it is the same for Huddersfield. We will not get a better chance to progress to the 5th round of the FA cup as Huddersfield are struggling and low on confidence. A home tie against Man Utd could provide a nice financial windfall if nothing else. SC must be sensible with his team selection and pick a strong team with the league game in mind. Hopefully that team will be good enough to beat Huddersfield without risking too many players ahead of the Derby game.

  • I totally respect other views on the FA Cup.However our position is fragile. We are still in a precarious situation in the league, with oblivion in a lower league a real possibility. We purchased zero in the transfer window hoping our vital left back position would not be endangered or compromised. We all knew something would happen-sods law.Tomorrow I would not risk the likes of Adams,Maghoma,Davis,Dean,Colin,Jota and Gallagher. Keifenbeld omission speaks for itself.Left back should be considered for Robinson,at least one half.Man.Utd is a tasty thought and under different circumstances I would encourage a stronger team against Huddersfield, but this cup run must not be reminiscent of what happened after the Carling success. Our club gambled on a bare January window ,they must not gamble on a meaningless game tomorrow as to lose another key player without decent cover.Yes,we may get £250K from the Man Utd game but League One money is £1m compared to the new deal of £10m next season for Championship clubs.
