The end of the Championship campaign of 2016/17 is only a month and a bit away from fans across the country but as we go in to the remaining weeks of the season which teams fans so far this year have seen the greater reward for their Season Ticket cost last summer and which fans will feel irked with their outlay compared to home goals scored?

The Daily Star put the legwork into this one and crunched the numbers with the vast majority of teams now having played 38 games in the current campaign.

The final cost associated per home goal scored of course doesn’t give an overall indication towards entertainment, under performance or over performance as plenty of clubs have a different mean Season Ticket price based on the pure economics of supply and demand in football but there are some interesting placings in the table of 24 below.

Call it value for money, or call it a complete rip off, I guess it depends on what your final price was and how many goals you actually had the pleasure of seeing on home soil and whether that return was considered success or failure based on your own sides aspirations for this stage of the campaign.
