Championship clubs in the hunt for Blues midfielder

Three Championship clubs are expressing an interest in Blues midfielder Stephen Gleeson, according to reports on HITC. The 28 year-old signed from MK Dons in 2014 and has been a pivotal part of the turnaround under Gary Rowett.

Gleeson`s form has caught the eye of Sheffield Wednesday, Reading and Leeds United. The reports claim that Blues are reluctant to lose Gleeson but Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal is ready to test their resolve by making an approach.

The Irishman has clocked up 89 appearances for Blues and has established himself as a competent Championship performer.
