The final international break of the Championship 2016/17 season ticks on by and this year could see a number of players break the 20 goal mark.
With goalscoring so far this season, the Golden Boot race is pretty much a four player race with Chris Wood (Leeds United), Dwight Gayle (Newcastle United), Tammy Abraham (Bristol City) and Glenn Murray (Brighton) best placed to take the recognition this season.
With sides having at least eight games remaining though a number of players could potentially make a late run on Wood’s 24 goals so far this year and those players feature for Aston Villa, Norwich City, Brighton, Blackburn Rovers, Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City.
But I think, short of some brace and hattrick runs of form, we can now discount those sitting on ten goals or below so far for the year.
So limited to those with eleven or more strikes so far this campaign, here’s how the table currently sits.
