Police are having to waste time looking into allegations that Birmingham City defender Stephen Carr made an offensive gesture towards the oh so sensitive Aston Villa fans on Sunday.
Carr, 33, and other Blues players were not at all happy about the penalty awarded to the home side by their twelfth man who was supposed to be officiating the match.
Tearful Villa fans alleged Carr made a gesture towards them as he left the pitch.
Now the FA will look at the ‘referee`s` report before deciding whether to take action.
A spokesman for ze Vest Midlands Police Force told the BBC: ‘West Midlands Police have received a complaint regarding an offensive gesture allegedly made by a player at the end of the Aston Villa-Birmingham City match on Sunday.
‘The matter is currently being investigated by detectives and inquiries are ongoing.’
We will be having a collection to buy the poor Villa fans affected trauma treatment and a bunch of flowers each.
