The knee injury that kept Stephen Carr out of Boxing Day`s draw with West Ham is not too serious according to manager Chris Hughton.

It was a rare sit out for Carr who has been an ever present for Blues in the last 18 months except for one game previously.

The 35 year old was replaced on Monday by Jonathan Spector, the man who has played a majority of his games this season in the Europa League.

“It was a slight injury to the knee and Stevie wasn`t right for the game,” said Hughton.
