Birmingham City supporters, all six of them, have reportedly kicked Craig Noone’s car as he attempted to leave the ground following this weekend’s game.

Noone was leaving St Andrews after a 0-0 draw with Birmingham when he was set upon by some home supporters. Six men kicked his car and attempted to get the footballer to step outside of his vehicle so they could attack him as well.

There is very little reason for the fans to behave in this way. To damage someone else’s property and to put someone in a state of fear is a terrible crime to commit and we at Vital hope they are all identified and prosecuted.

Birmingham would do well to step up security outside of the ground for future games to prevent any more of this behavior from happening again.

At a time when supporters are appealing to outside groups such as the Football League for help with the club such bad press is wholly unwelcome and will not reflect well on the club as a whole.

The men involved should be ashamed of themselves for behaving with such a mob mentality. If all members of society were similar to the likes of these men I would hate to think what simply walking down the street would be like.

Craig Noone Signed for Cardiff in 2012 and has gone on to make over 50 league appearances for the club, scoring 8 goals. He will be pleased that his next fixture is not against Birmingham.
