When Birmingham City turn up at the Madejski stadium this evening (Tuesday, September 13th), striker Clayton Donaldson will be looking to beat his goal scoring streak in a Blues shirt.

As it stands, during the previous two seasons that he has had with the club, Donaldson has only ever managed to score in two consecutive games, meaning that should he score tonight, it will be the first time that he will have scored for three games running at Blues.

Even though the 32-year-old Jamaican international has been the clubs top goal scorer in the past two seasons, scoring 16 in the 2014/15 season and 11 in the 2015/16 season, he has never scored for three games running.

The last time he scored for three games on the bounce was back in 2013 when he netted in games against Swindon Town, MK Dons and Peterborough United in League One for Brentford.

The former Bees striker does however love visiting Reading having scored in his previous two outings at the Madejski so the signs are there that he could potentially break his goal scoring streak at Blues.

Since the Norwich City game where he seemed to really find his feet and click with summer signing Che Adams, Donaldson has always looked like a threat and hopefully he will once again be able to star in another fantastic away performance…fingers crossed.
