Team GB are now at the top of their group in the Olympic football and need just to draw their final game to make it into the quarter finals and Blues keeper Jack Butland played his part.

Butland made a couple of good saves to keep UAE at bay as Stuart Pearce’s side had a relatively easy 3-1 win.

Ryan Giggs gave GB the lead with a header in the first half, but Butland could do little as Eisa went through the defence and fired a low shot past the Birmingham keeper to bring the scores level.

But late goals from Scott Sinclair and Daniel Sturridge secured the victory.
