There is a bit of speculation about that Chris Burke is a target of Dougie Freedman who wants the player at Bolton next season.

Of course its only a rumour at the moment and one that you would hope that the club would come forward and squash, but don’t hold your breath.

But contract talks are said to be not going too well at Blues, that’s if they have even started, sources say that Burke is not to impressed with having to take a pay cut.

If Burke does go, then City get nothing except a lower wage bill as he would be available on a free Bosman and Freedman would want to get the player sooner rather than later to replace Chris Eagles who has already left the Trotters.

Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman is set to offer a contract to Birmingham City winger Chris Burke.

Derby County, Nottingham Forest and Leeds are also said to be interested.
