Bruce Pleased With Dunn’s Fitness

Steve Bruce has spoken of his delight at the progress of another of our injury concerns, David Dunn.

After previously stating that it was now a make or break season for Dunn following his consistent injury concerns, Bruce is happy with his progress and delighted that he has again come through another 90 minutes unscathed.

Speakin following the 5-1 win at Burton Albion Brucie said:

‘The big, huge thing for me was Dunny. He played his third 90 minutes in two years.

‘That has got to be, every Birmingham fan, the big, big plus. To be fair, the kid has worked so hard. He only had a week off in the summer and worked with the Wigan rugby people, just to do something different with his conditioning.

‘He’s looked extremely good. He’s been top in all the running. We were thinking 60 minutes but psychologically 90 minutes was good for him and towards the end he came on strong again.’
